If Ibiza and Formentera left us wanting more, the Costa Brava was calling out to us. Postcard beaches, breathtaking cliffs and a sea that changes blue depending on the sun. Three days to discover the best of this corner of the Mediterranean, with rental boat included. Because if there is one thing we have learned, it is that the best version of a trip always goes through the sea.

Day 1: Secret coves and first swim

We arrived in the mood for the sea, so we went straight to explore some of the best coves of the Costa Brava. Not the typical ones, but the ones that make you feel like you've discovered a well-kept secret.

📍 Cala Aiguablava: golden sand, turquoise water and a beach bar perfect for a drink between swims.
Cala Sa Tuna: smaller and with fishermen's cottages that give it a picturesque air. Ideal for relaxing without stress.
📍 Cala d'Aigua Xelida: hidden between cliffs, perfect for those looking for a swim in a wild environment and without so many people.

We spent the day between dips, cold beers and lunch overlooking the sea. We closed the afternoon in Begur, a charming village with terraces and views that called for a glass of wine and a slow sunset.

Day 2: Charter boat, sea and absolute freedom

There is no better way to see the Costa Brava than from the water, so we rented a boat for a day to tour the coast at our leisure.

📍 First stop: Medas Islands. A protected archipelago with crystal clear waters and a spectacular seabed. If you like snorkeling, this is the place.
📍 Second stop: Cala Pedrosa. Only accessible by sea or by a narrow path, so we had it almost to ourselves.
Third stop: Cala Futadera. They call it "the cove of 300 steps", but we arrived by boat without sweating a drop. One of the most beautiful corners of the coast.
📍 Fourth stop: Tossa de Mar. We anchored overlooking the castle and had lunch on deck, with the sun gilding our skin and the breeze working its magic.

The afternoon went by between baths, laughter and that feeling that time goes slower when you are floating in the Mediterranean.

Day 3: One last dip before returning to reality!

With the salt still on our skin, we decided to take advantage of the last day with a quiet plan.

Platja de Castell: one of the last unspoiled beaches of the Costa Brava, perfect for a last swim in crystal clear waters.
📍 Pals: because there is also life beyond the sea. A medieval village with cobbled streets and views of the countryside and the Mediterranean.
Suquet de peix in front of the sea: we close the trip with a typical dish of the area, a good suquet de peix, the seafood stew par excellence of the Costa Brava. With a glass of chilled white wine, we toast to this trip and all those to come.

When do we repeat?

If there is something that the Costa Brava has made clear to us, it is that we must return. Because three days are not enough and because there are too many coves, corners and sunsets waiting to be discovered.

So if you are hesitating to make a trip like this, stop thinking about it and do it. Because the only thing you will regret is not having done it sooner.

See you at sea. Always tousled, always happy. 🌊⛵✨
